On April 3, 2025, the large meeting room of the Coesfeld district house transformed into an innovative experience. The theater performance "between // Welt", initiated by Thomas Nufer in cooperation with the "Förderverein der Friends and Supporters of the Heart of Jesus Hospital", impressively devotes itself to the existential questions of seriously patients and dying. From 7:00 p.m., the audience will witness a touching topic, which becomes alive through the presentation of the protagonist Tomasz, a Berlin artist, performer and singer. Tomasz, played by Ulrich Bärenfänger, suffers from a respiratory tract, but uses his humor to cheer up others.

The performance focuses on the paradox of dying by showing how patients can remain emotionally and creatively active even in a physical decline. Palliative career Jens, represented by Martin Schlathölter, accompanies Tomasz sensitively and encourages him to create a final masterpiece.
