Commitment to democracy: Submit projects in Dortmund now!
The Volunteer Agency Dortmund has launched the "Acknowledge Commitment" award today. This prize follows the motto: "Together for a strong democracy - democracy lives from you!". His goal is the appreciation of exceptional voluntary commitments from organizations, associations and initiatives that work for democratic values and political education.
The award for 2025 is all about democracy promotion. The agency is looking for creative and sustainable projects that are anchored in youth work, in the district or in the city society. The prize should make the commitment visible and support future -oriented ideas in order to further strengthen Dortmund as an open and democratic city.

non -profit organizations, clubs and initiatives are invited to apply for this award. An independent jury will select three projects from the submissions, each funded with 500 euros. A total of 1,500 euros are available for the award.
The projects are assessed based on several criteria. This includes the contribution to strengthening democracy in Dortmund, promoting diversity and the prevention of extremism. Another important point of view is the integration and participation by volunteers. In addition, future -oriented ideas, especially in connection with the use of prize money, are taken into account.
