In Dortmund-Löttringhausen, the local Photo meeting actively searches. The association, which currently consists of six members, meets every 14 days on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the extraplatz of the Dogewo21 neighborhood agency, located on Langeloh 18. At these meetings, the photos present present and discuss photography. There are not only space for tips and suggestions, but also for various photographic experiments that can be carried out after prior coordination. Common photo excursions are also planned from spring.

At the meetings, the participants are not only actively involved in photography, but also enjoy a cozy atmosphere, since coffee and cookies are provided. The next meetings will take place on February 19, March 5 and March 19, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. Interested parties are cordially invited to simply come to one of these meetings.

In addition, the photo meeting of the DOWISCHO21 neighborhood agency recently presented the new FotoSokalender for 2025. This calendar shows twelve remarkable and original motifs from the Hombruch district, created by eight hobby photographers. It is available in A3 format and costs 5 euros. It is noteworthy that the entire proceeds from the sale of the calendar are donated to the central advice center for the homeless of the Diakonisches Werk Dortmund and Lünen gGmbH. This is intended to ensure the support of social projects on site.

The commitment of the photo meeting is part of the more comprehensive neighborhood initiatives in Dortmund, which were launched in 2022. In 2025 the eighth support round of the urban Neighborhood programs supported by the common welfare foundation of the Sparkasse. The aim of the program is to promote projects of non -profit associations that strengthen the neighborly cohesion and create opportunities for meeting. The funding areas range from art, education to social engagement and inclusion.

The possibility of submitting applications for funding exists up to a certain key date. The submission period for the applications was on January 24, 2025, and the first jury session for the pre -selection took place on today, February 4, 2025. Further jury sessions are planned for April 10 and July 8, 2025.

The commitment in the neighborhood shows how local initiatives not only promote cultural but also social aspects of life in Dortmund. The combination of photography, social engagement and the invitation to new members underlines the liveliness of the local community in Löttringhausen.
