Treasure box project: A look at the state parliament for long-term unemployed!

The visit of employees of the Dobeq project "Schatzkästchen" in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament offered the participants the opportunity to deal intensively with the work of parliament. As part of the visit, an introductory lecture on the activity of the state parliament, which formed the basis for further experiences.

From the grandstand, the participants followed the plenary debate and were able to gain a direct impression of the political -relevant discussions. Afterwards there was a discussion with the Dortmund MP Anja Butschkau (SPD). Central topics were discussed in this exchange, including active labor market policy and the budget cuts of the black and green state government in the social field.

The “Treasure Chest” project has set itself the task of offering long -term unemployed people a new chance on the labor market. In this context, defective and incomplete toys and used clothing are prepared. The resulting items will be reused and are given to the needy as well as to non -profit organizations in Dortmund and the surrounding area.
