Beach bar Pilina Beach opened: a piece of South Sea in Dortmund!

In April 2025, the new “Pilina Beach” beach bar opened in the Wischlingen Revierpark in Dortmund. Initiated by Steffen Eich, operator of the nearby Adventure Golf facility, the beach bar was extensively renovated. The opening period took place on the last weekend in April, April 26 and 27. Due to the renovation, "Pilina Beach" now offers a modern appearance and a year -round gastronomy, which is set by the previous concept of the "Revierstrand".

The conversion included the creation of a new gastrocontainer and an enlargement of the seating options. In the future, 300 places will be available in different variants, including an 80 square meter covered terrace. Steffen Eich's goal is to create an ambience that gives the impression of a "beach club in the south". A new menu is introduced, which includes Bowls, Pizza, Burger and Ruhrpott classics such as currywurst and fries.

diverse events planned

"Pilina Beach" plans a variety of events. The first big event will be the "Wine Age" event on July 4th and 5th, 2025, in which about 14 winegrowers and a DJ are expected. In addition to this kick-off event, regular DJ events are planned for the weekends. Steffen Eich invests over 60 hours a week in this project to ensure an appealing and varied program.

The beach bar will be operated all year round in contrast to the predecessor "Revierstrand", which was only open for season. During the winter months, the building is closed to offer better protection against the weather. A winter offer will be announced at a later date, which could further enrich the year -round experience.

opening times and concept changes

The opening times of "Pilina Beach" are generously designed. These are:

• Monday to Thursday: 12:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Friday: 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Since its opening in 2020, “Revierstrand” has mainly been offering drinks, street food and ice cream. With the renaming and the new concept under Steffen Eich, a clear trend reversal is heralded, which should significantly enrich the gastronomy offer in Dortmund.
