On Monday, January 20, Dr. Jutta Maria Scheuermann officially introduced as the new medical director in the forum of the LVR Clinic Mönchengladbach. dr. Jutta Maria Scheuermann has been a medical director of the LVR Clinic Mönchengladbach since October 1, 2024. Her appointment was made by the Health Committee of the 15th Landscape Assembly Rhineland, which she unanimously elected on September 20, 2024. Dr. Scheuermann, 51 years old, completed a degree in medicine in Saarbrücken and Essen. She started her specialist training in neurosurgery, where she developed a strong interest in neuroscientific and operational work.
After her scientific work at the University Hospital Düsseldorf, she moved to southern Germany, where she worked as a assistant doctor in psychiatry and discovered her passion for this field. She returned to North Rhine-Westphalia and worked in the Königshof clinic in Krefeld, where she was appointed specialist in psychiatry in 2013. With her appointment as senior physician, she acquired advanced knowledge of basic psychocardiological care and built up a psychocardiological Liaisond service in the Helios Heart Center Niederrhein.

The LVR Clinic Mönchengladbach is an important treatment center for psychiatry and psychotherapy in the region. It takes over the psychiatric compulsory care for the city of Mönchengladbach and has around 360 employees. The range of services comprises 170 fully inpatient beds, 66 partially inpatient places, an institute outpatient clinic and a residential network with 45 places.
