promote and integrate
The activities of the "Easter holiday circus" range from running on large balls, to juggling, unicycling to balancing and running stilt. Such events are part of the extensive programs that the Caritasverband has launched to promote the integration of people with a migration background. In 2007, integration agencies were founded in North Rhine-Westphalia, which support and control the social participation process of immigrants. Around 135 local competence centers help to promote integration processes on site.
The Caritas Association in the Mettmann district has set various areas of priorities in the individual cities. These not only include the "Easter holiday circus", but also learning sponsorships in Ratingen and the district -wide integration pilot. In addition, further offers for intercultural opening are provided that support important social participation of immigrants.
educational opportunities for migrant children
The right to education in Germany is entitled to all children, regardless of their origin or their residence status. This also applies to migrant children who have to meet the same school law requirements, starting at the age of six until the end of secondary level I. Education not only gives them access to the German language, but also to social contacts, which is of great importance for their integration.
However, migrant children face challenges such as different educational biographies, linguistic barriers and cultural differences. In order to counteract these obstacles, various language support programs, especially German as a second language (DAZ), were launched. Ideally, these programs started in preschool age and aimed to playfully convey the German language to children.
In addition, there are nationwide support programs such as "education and participation" and "culture makes strong", which also support social and educational -oriented measures. The need for action for long -term integration lies in the training of qualified teachers and the creation of an open school culture that appreciates diversity.
The initiatives of the Caritas Association, such as the "Easter holiday circus", are therefore not only an entertaining offer for children, but also an important step towards equal opportunities and integration. The social work will have a positive impact on the young participants' school career in the long term and open up valuable perspectives.
