Dancing Legends: Voges couple crowns career with championship title in Düsseldorf!

On March 13, 2025, Laura and Alexander Voges from Grün-Gold TTC Herford ended their impressive career in dance sport with a memorable victory. As part of the German ranking of the Masters I Standard, which took place in Düsseldorf, they prevailed against a total of eleven couples and were surprisingly declared the winners. This tournament is also its last as an active dance couple.

In the previous preliminary round, the two started a bit nervously. But in the final they showed a strong idea that impressed the audience and the jury. Her strongest competitors took second place. The day ended festively with an honorary dance together with the German masters of the main group Latin, Artur Balandin and Anna Salita.

A look back at a successful career

The Voges look back on dance sports for over 14 years since they completed their first trial training session in November 2010. Their first successes include the national championship title in main group II S-Standard in 2015 and the second place at the 2017 German Cup. The change to the seniors 2020 was delayed by Corona pandemic, but the couple could not be discouraged.

The greatest successes include third place at the 2023 World Cup, three German runner -up titles and numerous national championships. In the course of their career, they also reached the finals at numerous world ranking tournaments at home and abroad. They are particularly remembered by the final experience at the German Open Championships 2023. In 2024 they triumphed at a WDSF worldranging tournament in Nice.

The Voges also have many special memories of tournament trips to Blackpool, Bournemouth, Košice in Slovakia and Sibiu in Romania. Her success would not have been possible without the support of her trainers, to which Mark Schulze-Altmann, Thomas Derner, Sandra Bähr, Anja Rausche-Schramm and Pilates trainer Kerstin Kerstin and mental coach Win New Year's Eve.

A victory at a ranking tournament, for example, brings a maximum of 80 points.
