Duisburg chooses! The most exciting candidates in the 2025 Bundestag election
On February 23, 2025, the German Bundestag election will take place in the constituency of Duisburg II (constituency 115). The hot phase of the election campaign has already started and the voters can look forward to numerous candidates who pursue clear political goals. Today, February 6, 2025, the election provision is in full swing and the preparations for postal voting.
The constituency Duisburg II is represented by six candidates who represent different political directions and concerns. Among them include representatives of the SPD, CDU, AfD, Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, FDP and a candidate for the election alternative for work and social justice.

- candidate 5: 34 years, account manager, would like to receive the steel industry and develop long-term strategies for support.
- candidate 6: 62 years, social economist and union secretary, is committed to a public investment program and more social housing.
The candidates bring different professional backgrounds and political experiences with them, which offers voters a variety of options. While the election campaign continues, it becomes clear that the topics of business, security and climate policy are in the foreground. This is also evident in the political goals of the candidates.
postal voting and voting preparation
For the upcoming Bundestag election, the postal election period started on February 3, 2025. Voters can visit one of seven postal voting points in the district offices. The issue and shipping of the postal voting documents are expected to begin from February 10, 2025.
