Heating problems in the road traffic office: There are no cold feet!
Winter temperatures in Duisburg have caused considerable heating problems in the new building of the road traffic. According to radioduisburg.de it was found in mid-December that the heating did not perform full performance. Two defects were identified during the subsequent troubleshooting. Once a securing of underfloor heating on the ground floor was defective, which was already remedied. However, another defective compressor in the ventilation system still has to be installed.
The employees have in the meantime implemented a temporary solution. The heating temperature is not reduced overnight to prevent the building from cooling. In the entire building, a temperature is kept between 20 and 22 degrees, so that the company in the road traffic office can continue without restrictions.
technical details and challenges
Another heating problem in the Duisburg area has been shown<. As Haustechnikdialog.de , a heating system is on faults several times a day in the winter months, but can be reactivated two times by pressing the interference button. A detailed look at the heating reveals that new components such as the oil nozzles and filters were renewed in June. Nevertheless, exhaust gas tests indicate certain values that indicate inefficient use: an exhaust gas loss of 9 % and a co-content of 74 mg/kWh testify to possible problems in the system.
The boiler has an output of 45-55 kW, while the Brenner, which was installed in the year of construction 2012, has between 40 and 103 kW. This heating system consumes around 3,500 liters of heating oil annually for a heating area of around 270 square meters. The discussion about the causes of these disorders and possible solutions, such as the installation of a smaller burner with a maximum output of 55 kW, is still underway.
precautionary measures and maintenance
It shows that heating disorders can often be remedied by simple measures. According to Schramm.de , for example, ventilation of the radiators or checking the water pressure can be decisive. In the case of more complex problems such as defective components, however, expert support should always be used.
The most common heating problems are cold radiators or too low room temperatures. The causes can often be found in air in the heating system, low water pressure or defective heating pumps. Regular maintenance is therefore essential to ensure the efficiency of the heating system and prevent potential damage.
The situation in the Duisburg Road Traffic Office and the challenges in other institutions illustrate how important a functioning heating system is. In view of the cold winter temperatures, it remains to be seen which measures are taken to solve the heating problems sustainably.
