Rheinhauser Schützen shine at the district championship: 25 titles fought for!

On December 31, 2024, competitions in the air rifle and in the air pistol for men I and II as well as in room studs took place as part of the district championship of the Moers Schützenkreis. The BSV Rheinhausen-Bergheim 1925 e.V. took part in this championship with great success, in which the club's young people of the association also celebrated its championship debut.

The competitions were held on the SV Moers-Vinn facility and included participants such as Daniela Breuer (Women), Nicole Scharf (Jugend W), Jonas Liebig and Adrijan Rajkovic (student M). Daniela Breuer and Nicole Scharf secured the title of the district champion in their disciplines with outstanding results of 374.5 and 145.9 points.

The students were concerned with the title for Jonas Liebig and Adrijan Rajkovic, with Liebig achieved 133.3 points and Rajkovic scored 64.0 points. Martin Breuer took second place in men I with 351 points, only behind Maximilian Melles, who scored 373 points. The Rheinhauser men's team, which competed in men's I/II age group, consisted of Martin Breuer, Joel Hartschen (320 points, 5th place) and Christian Striegler (352 points).

The BSV Rheinhausen-Bergheim won a total of 25 district championship titles, plus nine second and ten third places. In the medal mirror, the club reached third place, behind the Moers sports shooters with 37 gold medals and the Rheurdt sports shooters, the 40 gold medals. The number of participants rose to 72 starts in 16 different disciplines and 48 competitions, with the age groups ranging from students from the age of 12 to seniors over the age of 76. Compared to the previous year, the number of district championship titles increased significantly, from formerly 18 to 25 titles.

The air rifle area, which is also Olympic, represents an accessible discipline that can be operated from a minimum age of 12 years. The shooters complete 40 shots from a distance of 10 meters, with the participants shooting in the standing type of stop. The competition is supplemented by a trial period of 15 minutes and has a total shooting time of 50 minutes, as is explained on bsvrheinhausen.de
