The following block only affects the direction of travel and is scheduled from Thursday, January 23, to Monday, January 27th. The direction of travel Venlo is then closed from Friday, January 31st to Monday, February 3. The last announced full closure will take place in both directions from Friday, February 28th, until Monday, March 3. Depirtions are signposted in all closures.
Construction work at the Kaiserberg motorway junction
The construction work for the new construction of the Kaiserberg motorway junction is still progressing. In the coming weeks, a protective scaffolding for the central structure A3/A40 will be created, which is built via the A40 to enable the bridge construction to be superstructed. These extensive preparatory work will significantly impair the A40 in this area.
The planned locking dates are listed as follows: From 17 to January 17th, the full direction will be made in both directions for the production of the concrete foundations for steel protection devices. The blocking from 23 to 27 January affects the direction of travel for the assembly of the steel protection devices inside and outside. In the third full closure, which takes place from January 31 to February 3, the direction of travel Venlo is closed on the outside for the assembly of the steel protection devices. Finally, the last full closure takes place in both directions from February 28th to March 3 to assemble the protective slip. After completion of the scaffolding, the traffic in both directions on the A40 is guided in narrowed lanes.
