The individual competition for Karl Geiger and Co. ended disappointing, while the Austrian team under the leadership of Daniel Tschofenig continued to impress.

Yesterday's competitions on January 18, 2025 only brought the Germans to fourth place in team jumping. With 1,110.0 points, they left the Austrians (1,170.4 points), Slovenes (1,129.6 points) and Norwegians (1,122.9 points) behind them. The best jumper of the DSV team was Karl Geiger, who triumphed with jumps of 136.5 meters and 139.5 meters. Wellinger, Paschke and Raimund could not keep up in terms of performance and urgently need to work on their shape. Wellinger said he lacks the "free flying", which may be an indication of the mental blockade of the past few weeks.
