Kita Mobile celebrates a green spring festival with a fresh greenhouse!
On March 20, 2025, a new greenhouse was inaugurated in the Mobile daycare center in Asternweg, which underlines the importance of gardening for child formation. Deputy Anja Pfeiffer took part in the ceremony as part of a great spring festival and emphasized how important the greenhouse is for the concept of the facility, which promotes nature experiences for the children. The daycare center in the vegetable garden has been strengthened since 2020, with the children actively planting and harvesting different types of vegetables.
The Kita Mobile is the first "arable daycare center" in the educational program "Ackerracker" in Rhineland-Palatinate. Children learn not only through practical gardening through the cultivation and growth of food, but also learn a lot about sustainability and the responsible use of resources. The freshly harvested vegetables are used directly in the daycare kitchen, where the little gardeners can also actively help with cooking. The KALEMANITER Sonja Jahn reported the enthusiasm of the children for gardening.
long -term project goals
The new greenhouse now enables year -round gardening and improves the conditions for the educational project. Here the children learn how their food comes from and learn that organic products are produced in the daycare center. In a competition of the Sparkasse Kaiserslautern, the daycare center also won the mascot donkey Oli, who will accompany the children in the gardener project.
The Ackeracker educational program offers a unique special for daycare children this year: the agricultural stories that impart basic knowledge of nature and sustainability through playful learning. The program is supported by the well-known Kika moderator Tobias Krell, also known as the "Checker Tobi", who receives the associated audio book. Accompanying there is a paper of paper with characters for cutting out, which is made available to all participating children.
promote sustainable education
The arable stories consist of ten adventure stories by the author Lydia Ruwe, which lead the children through a variety of landscapes and adventures in the field. The materials are high quality and sustainably produced and are based on the principles of education for sustainable development (BNE). According to BNE-Portal.de , this education plays a particularly important role in early childhood education, since it promotes basic values and skills. Children learn early on that their actions can have an impact on others, which is decisive for a responsible future.
The integration of GNIs in educational plans and the support of daycare providers is also sought to ensure inclusive education. Education for sustainable development is intended to show children how they can take advantage of opportunities in a dynamic and diverse world and how they experience organization and decision -making.
through projects such as the "arable day care center" and the associated initiatives are laid the foundations for a sustainable future. Kitas can apply to take part in Ackeracker and set up your own bed. These projects are a step in the right direction to convey important skills for the future to young generations.
