Klever talents shine in the Youth Music” competition in Moers!
On January 18, 2025, the regional competition "Jugend musiziert" took place in the Moers music school. Pupils from the Kleve district music school competed in various categories. A total of around 70 children and young people from the district of Kleve, city of Krefeld and Wesel district presented their musical skills in front of a jury.
The participants had prepared intensively for this competition and presented a specially rehearsed program. The high performance density was clearly shown in the juries' reviews. The Kleve district music school was able to win two second prizes and a total of ten first prizes, with eight of these first prizes entitled to participate in the upcoming state competition in Essen, which will take place from March 21 to 25.

In the category "Viola Solo", Kim Marie Borger (AG VI, 25 points, 1. Prize with forwarding the highest award. Timo Alexander Jeuken (AG IV, 20 points, 2nd prize) was awarded in the "Violoncello Solo" area.
The success in the "Duo piano and a woodwind instrument" category was also particularly remarkable. The following award winners competed here:

- Lena Rütten (flute) and Anneli Woronzow (piano, AG V, 21 points, 1. Price)
The overall event "Jugend musiziert"
The regional competition is just one of around 170 competitions that are held under the roof of "Jugend musiziert". These take place in around 135 regions of Germany and at over 35 German schools abroad. The entire competition offers the participating young people the opportunity to develop musically and to get to know other music -loving children.
youth music is an important event for young talents that not only includes competition, but also the valuable feedback from specialist jurors. The competitions are mainly organized by volunteers: inside, mostly at local music schools. Registrations for the competitions are now digital, with the registration deadline for the participants before the current competition on November 15, 2024.
