Kreissparkasse brings joy: gifts for Obersteiner children!

On December 27, 2024, Celine Roes and Leonhard Stibitz from the Kreissparkasse Birkenfeld visited the municipal play and learning room in the former hallway in Oberstein. They brought gifts and games for the children who use the afternoon care of this facility.

The game and learning room is a facility of the Idar-Oberstein city youth welfare office and offers pedagogical support for school children aged six to twelve years. Here the children receive support for homework, while food and drinks are provided at the same time. All services are free and are currently used by twenty children from different nations and educational classes. Due to the high demand, no other children can currently be recorded, but there is a waiting list.

Christmas preparations in the facility

During the visit, the children were busy setting up the Christmas tree. The gifts brought with them are either distributed at the end of the year on December 19 or included in the foundation of the facility in order to give the children joy at a later date.
