Tusem Essen celebrates exciting derby victory against ASV Hamm-Westfalen!
On January 2, 2025, Tusem Essen celebrated an important derby victory against ASV Hamm-Westfalen in the 2nd handball Bundesliga with 33:27 (15:15). The game took place in the domestic sports hall "Am Hallo", which was filled with around 2200 spectators, the season best. Previously, Tusem had suffered an away defeat against VfL Lübeck-Schwartau with 22:31.
The ASV Hamm-Westfalen, who is trained by the former TuSem coach Michael Hegemann, had won only one of the last five games and competed with many injured top performers. Tusem started well and led 2-0 early, but the ASV was able to take the lead until the 20th minute.
