Start women's strength weeks: More than 50 offers in the district of Euskirchen!

On March 8th, the third "women's strength weeks" begin in the district of Euskirchen. This action week, which lasts until March 23, comprises about 50 events that aim to strengthen women and girls. Mayor Jennifer Meuren von Blankenheim welcomes the first participation of her community and, together with the counterparts Sabine Preiser-Marian (Bad Münstereifel) and Anna-Katharina Horst (Weilerswist), introduces the extensive program. The offers that were compiled by ten initiatives and facilities in the region offer a variety of options.

The events are divided into six categories and range from AI training to coping stress and massage courses. One goal of this week is to encourage women, to get into the job and to show help. Among the highlights is the theater concert "Rosa goes away" as a kick-off event in Euskirchen as well as workshops such as "Ki & career: strengthening your digital mindset" and "strong mums in the job". In addition, offers specially tailored to mothers are provided to address their professional challenges.

diverse offers for women

The program also offers networking opportunities through events such as the "After-Work Café for founders and entrepreneurs" on March 18 in Bad Münstereifel. A reading by Steffi New on March 18 in Blankenheim as well as boxing courses for self -confidence for girls and women on March 13th in Euskirchen round off the offer. These initiatives are an important step to integrate women in the world of work more and to promote their individual development.

could the topics of artificial intelligence (AI) and gender -friendly technology be the next big challenge for women? A series of events organized by the EAF Berlin and the success factor woman will investigate these questions. It illuminates how AI influences everyday life and which social structures are reproduced by these technologies. Central topics will be the influence of AI on women and the potential disadvantage in this area.

gender gap in the ki

Special attention to the gender gap in artificial intelligence is also paid in a central event of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) on March 7 in Berlin. The conference with the topic "Technology of tomorrow, problems of yesterday? What to do about gender gap in artificial intelligence?" will bring experts from science and research together. According to the Global Gender GAP Report 2023, only about 30% of AI talents were women in 2022 and only 12% of experts in AI research worldwide.

The gender GAP in the AI is a significant challenge, since the development is predominantly shaped by male -dominated teams, which can result in research gaps. The aim of the conference is to develop strategies for promoting young women for AI studies and strengthen their participation in the AI area.

With these parallel initiatives, both the "women's strength weeks" in the district of Euskirchen and the upcoming events in Berlin show that the promotion of women in various areas, especially in technology and working world, remains a central social task.
