The number of federal volunteer service providers (Bufdis) in Euskirchen has dropped considerably compared to 2022. Currently only 12 Bufdis are on duty, which represents a decline of 23 people. This development is worrying because the city of Euskirchen provides a total of 64 places for the federal voluntary service. The places are mainly located in schools (29 places) and day care centers (21 places). Financial incentives for Bufdis

A decisive factor for the attractiveness of the BFD is pocket money. Bufdis currently receives 300 euros per month with a claim to child benefit. In order to make the BFD even more attractive, the SPD parliamentary group suggests increasing pocket money by a further 50 euros, which should come into force from August 1st.
