On May 12th, the international day of nursing will be committed, an occasion that is supposed to initiate comprehensive discussions about the future of nursing in Germany. The Johanniter are calling for promptly legal initiatives to reform the nursing sector. Thomas Mähnert, member of the Federal Executive Board of Johanniter-Accident Aid, emphasizes the urgency of a fundamental reform. In the last legislative period, steps have already been initiated, which were initiated by the Nursing Competence Act and the Law to introduce nursing assistance professions. These laws should improve and secure working conditions in the nursing industry.
Verena service, member of the regional board Bonn/Rhein-Sieg/Euskirchen, emphasizes the need for adequate financing and clear structures. This is the only way to guarantee outpatient care that supports many people in their own four walls. The new government faces the challenge of sustainably securing care and financing them fairly. engagement in outpatient care
The Johanniter Regionalverband Bonn/Rhein-Sieg/Euskirchen offers a wide range of services for people in need of care and their relatives. Outpatient care is ensured by five social stations in Bad Honnef, Bonn, Sankt Augustin, Troisdorf and Meckenheim. The association provides over 800 patients in their familiar environment, which enables individual care and personal contact.
But the offer goes far beyond pure care. The additional services include everyday aid, social services such as home emergency calls and menu service as well as volunteer offers for seniors. These diverse services help promote the standard of living and well -being of those in need of care. At this point, a big thank you to the nursing teams and caring relatives who are in use every day.
The challenges in the care industry are enormous and require a structured approach. Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach found that a restart is necessary for care and that concrete measures have to be implemented in order to improve the situation sustainably. In view of the demographic development that an increasing number of people in need of care, parents and relatives must also be effectively supported so that they can reconcile care and work. This illustrates the continued relevance of the discussion about the future design of nursing in Germany and the extensive role of Johanniter in this process.
