Investors are cordially invited from 9 a.m. to take part in an interreligious prayer that begins at 9:30 a.m.
For everyone who is interested in an alternative route, a junction is offered in the amount of the music theater to demonstrate towards the station forecourt. From 11:15 a.m. there will be a central rally entitled “All together against fascism”. A march of the group "Die Heimat" is planned at 12 noon, which previously called up under the motto "Work - Freedom - Remigration" for demonstration. This party is known as the successor to the NPD and will count on a broad mobilization of their youth organization "Young Nationalists" (JN).
counter -demonstration and actions against fascism
The activities of the extreme right call the “Gelsenkirchen Action Alliance against Racism and Exclusion” as well as the “Submit” alliance on the plan that calls for participation in a counter -demonstration. This takes place after the main rally on the station forecourt. The demonstration train will take a route through Gelsenkirchen and ends at Heinrich-König-Platz, where the big final rally of the campaign alliance with musical and contributions will take place at 2 p.m. This mobilization is an answer to the upcoming meeting of the fascists and is intended to strengthen Gelsenkirchen as a place of diversity and resistance to racism and exclusion.
May 1st in the past has had a special status in anti -fascist resistance. In particular, the success in 2015, when a demonstration by the party "The Rights" was prevented in Gelsenkirchen, is highlighted by the organizers. The goal is clear: Gelsenkirchen should not be a home for fascists and resistance to right -wing ideologies is more current than ever.
