Gelsenkirchen shows its best side: photography in black and white!
In 2025, the city of Gelsenkirchen celebrates its 150th anniversary. On the occasion of this anniversary, the photo exhibition "Gelsenkirchen - My Hood" by photographer Gregor Wildförster is opened. The opening ceremony took place on February 4, 2025 at 6 p.m. in the main office of the Sparkasse Gelsenkirchen. Mayor Karin Welge and Stefanie Olbering, director of the Sparkasse Gelsenkirchen, were among the guests who attended the opening. The focus of the exhibition is to present an undisguised and truthful picture of the city, regardless of whether it is familiar or unexpected perspectives.
