Tedesco is flirting with return to Schalke: A glimmer of hope for fans?
DOMENICO TEDESCO, the former coach of FC Schalke 04, has commented on a return to his heart club. Tedesco, who coaches the club from July 2017 to March 2019 and led it to the Bundesliga runner -up championship, continues to follow the Schalke 04 games and feel deeply connected to the club. "The time at Schalke was special," says Tedesco, who appreciates the club and especially the fans in the north curve. His loyalty is also shown by the fact that he rejected an offer from BVB, which underlines his bond with Schalke, reports Ruhr24
Currently Schalke 04 looks around after a new trainer after the dismissal of Kees van Wonderen. Meanwhile, Tedesco is no longer connected to his last stop, the Belgian national team, because it was released at the beginning of the year. However, he emphasizes that a return to the coaching bench is out of the question this summer and that friendships or nostalgic reasons alone are not enough. "The situation has to fit and I want to have a significant impact on the team," explains Tedesco.

Schalke 04 is currently in the relegation battle of the second division. The challenges this season are enormous, especially with regard to the change of coaches that have been the order of the day in the league since the 30th matchday. There were numerous changes in the 2nd Bundesliga, whereby up to six trainers have already lost their posts, such as "https://www.ndr.de/sport/fussball/wenn-dieven-bliegen-blankliegen-paet-spaet-hauf-hae-hae--sich-bistahwecht102.html"> NDR . Tedesco also gained experience after his time in Gelsenkirchen like Spartak Moscow and RB Leipzig, which benefits his coaching philosophy.
its possible return plans remain heavily dependent on the given conditions. "A move to the 2nd Bundesliga is currently not an option for me," makes Tedesco clear, while the club management of Schalke is required to initiate the next steps to create stability.
