Maxim Roor, a talented cyclist from Brilon, has set itself the goal of becoming world champion in the individual time trial. Since the beginning of 2025 he has been a professional in the Sauerländer Radsport team Rembe Rad-Net and has already made a name for himself in the scene. In 2024 he covered an impressive 18,000 kilometers by bike and started the new year with 2,000 kilometers in January.

At the age of five, the young Maxim was allowed to celebrate his first success and took second place in a bike race in Willingen. Regular training shaped his youth, and in 2017 he won fourth place at the NRW mountain bike championship. 2018, after joining the cycling upland in Willingen, he celebrated his first great success with the winning of the NRW Cup.
from mountain bike to racing bike

fusion in German cycling
The team, which he belongs to, experiences a significant change in parallel to Roors sporty career. The two German continental teams Rad-Net Oßwald and Rembe Pro Cycling merge for the 2025 season. Team boss Jörg Scherf describes the fusion as a spontaneous idea that came from a conversation in Bad Dürrheim. The proximity of the teams made it easier to get rapprochement in order to become stronger together. This merger should not only bundle resources, but also close a gap in German cycling between young people and the WorldTour. According to Scherf, a proteam is necessary for the development of German cycling. The sporting direction of the merged team is in the hands of Ralf Grabsch, Lukas Schadlich and Wolfgang Oschwald, while sponsorship support and management are with Jörg Scherf.
the training and the goals
currently Maxim Roor trains in a training camp in Mallorca, where he trains every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. With a weight of 70 kilograms and a size of 1.85 meters, it requires a diet of around 6,000 calories per day - even up to 8,000 calories in peak times.
his clear goal for 2025 is to get among the top 20 at the German championship in individual time trials and to successfully present themselves in international races. In the long term, Maxim is aiming to go to the Tour de France and win the title in the individual time trial.
