Ballet magic in Hagen: premieres that weed up!

On April 26, 2025, the Hagen Theater at 7.30 p.m. offers the highly expected third ballet premiere of the current season in the big house. On this evening, three choreographies are presented that combine both classic and modern elements of the ballet. The performance will research the different facets of dance aesthetically and thematically.

can be seen "Prélude à l’Après-Midi d’un Faune" and the premiere of "Parade" by Maša Kolar and the premiere of "Le Sacre du Printemps" by Francesco Nappa. The musical background for Kolar’s works comes from Claude Debussy and Erik Satie. Nappa's choreography, on the other hand, is accompanied by the iconic sounds of Igor Stravinsky, who represent the archaic rituals and survival fights.

insights into the works

In her new adaptation, Maša Kolar addresses social alienation and the loneliness of modern man. In the meantime, "Le Sacre du Printemps" by Francesco Nappa is understood as a metaphor for development and destruction. The stories that are told by the dance not only show the physical presence of the dancers, but also reflect deeper social and cultural currents.

The costumes that play an important role in the overall visual impression were designed by Christian Held, Petra Paviĉić and Julia Burkhardt. Matteo Castelletta and Maria Sayrach Baró.
