Gigantic solar park: residents worried about noise and landscape issues!

In Neustadt, there is currently great uncertainty among the residents after announcing an XXL solar park on an area of 48 hectares between Hagen and Borstel. The investor, Enerparc from Hamburg, plans to install this system along ICE-Trasse. Initial information about the project came as a surprise to many affected people who learned about the first public information event on March 5. Many residents expressed their irritation about the lack of communication on the part of those responsible and mostly learned about the project from the press, such as the Hannoversche General Zeitung reported.

The concerns of the residents are diverse. There are concerns about possible noise that could result from the cooling of the solar modules, as well as the effects on the landscape of the area. Enerparc has announced that it will meet a distance of 100 meters from the affected residential buildings, which corresponds to the criteria of the city of Neustadt. Nico Huscheck, Managing Director of Aquiso, emphasizes that the current planning is still negotiable and the area could possibly become smaller. This leaves room for hopes and above all for a discussion that takes into account the concerns of the residents.

participation of the residents

Although there was no flat -rate rejection of the project, the residents and the local council expressed many questions that still need to be clarified. Applications to change the land use plan were taken from the agenda, which does not make the situation easier for the residents. Nevertheless, there was positive feedback on the professionalism of the investor representatives who asked themselves the questions of the residents during the information event.

In the past,

enerparc has specialized in the development, planning and operation of solar power systems. The company has built over 10 solar parks since 2010, including the second largest solar system in France with a capacity of 152 megawatts, as noted on the company website enerparc . These experiences could be an advantage for the planned facility in Neustadt, while the residents remain vigilant and express their concerns.

Missing transparency and economic considerations

Another point of criticism is the deficiency of information regarding the possible yields and profits of the solar project. Many residents wonder whether and how they can be involved in this economic potential. The legal regulations for citizen participation in different federal states bring new approaches to integrate residents more into such projects. In Lower Saxony, for example, the new law provides that municipalities in the vicinity of photovoltaic systems are involved in the economic surpluses, which has so far not been recognizable in this form in Neustadt, as in the grant "> Thornton report explained.

The solar park in Neustadt could be an important project for the future of renewable energies in the region. Nevertheless, it will be crucial that the enerparc and everyone involved take over transparent communication and take into account the concerns of the residents. This is the only way to achieve the broadest possible acceptance for the project.
