additional planning in Warendorf

beyond developments in Hamm, the city of Warendorf reports that it will celebrate its 825th anniversary in 2025. The plans for the anniversary are already being announced, as was announced by Regina Höppner, head of Department II. The working title of the anniversary program is: "From the beginning to the present day", with the aim of linking the past, present and future in various areas such as visual arts, museum and theater.

Although another city festival is not planned, there are considerations to integrate the anniversary into horse night. The planned projects include an “Artist in Residence” program, an open air play on the appreciation of the end of the war and an exhibition “Warendorfer Views”, which will be shown in the historic town hall from mid-September to mid-September 2025.

A total of 10,000 euros are scheduled for the anniversary planning in the household events and urban advertising. Sustainability has a high priority in the projects to create an appealing program for different target groups, while the monetary effort is to be kept low.
