Mobility day in Hamm: Experience e-mobility, flashing lights and classic cars!

On April 2, 2025, Hamm experienced an eventful day with the mobility day and the first Sunday of the year. At several venues in the city center, visitors could not only shop, but also enjoy varied programs and information about mobility and traffic safety. The event promoted e-mobility and climate protection and offered numerous activities for the entire family.

The marketplace came up with a car show that put a special focus on environmentally friendly vehicles. Here visitors were able to marvel at various models of e-mobility. The palate was spoiled with street food stands, which offered delicacies such as Langos, chocolate fruits and donuts. A popular starting point was also the Santa Monica Square, which occurred with a blue light mile. Fire brigade, police, German red cross, technical aid organization, customs and other organizations presented their vehicles and informed the visitors about their work.

In the area of ​​the train station and Kleistforum, visitors were able to learn more about climate -friendly transport offers on the so -called “climate part”. Among other things, the urban bus traffic and an ADFC user use were presented there, which presented E-Supper machines from the ASH and conveyed car sharing offers. This fit well with the general objective of the day to promote electromobility and environmentally friendly alternatives to the car.

The place of German unity offered a special attraction, where traffic safety was in focus. Here representatives of the transport companies, the VDC, the police and the ADFC answered questions and carried out the course, which also included specific offers for seniors such as a rollator course.

For car lovers, the classic car meeting on Bahnhofstrasse was a highlight, in which classic cars were exhibited and the registration phase for the 17th edition of the classic car rally "Hammer Driving" took place. The registration was open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and enabled visitors to register directly on site.

The children's program also enjoyed the little visitors. At 2:30 p.m. there was a mascot parade on the Allee Center, in which various mascots took part and created a festive ambience.

The shops in downtown Hammer open their doors on this open Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and offered special promotions and offers for the purchaser.
