The focus is on sustainability: Join in Hamm inspires young and old!

Hamm is looking forward to the upcoming hands-on and sustainability fair, which on 22. February 2025 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will take place in the adult education center in Hamm, Platz der Deutsche Unity 1. The event is carried out by the VHS Hamm and the Forum for the Environment and Just Development e. V. (fugue) organized. The aim of the fair is to promote information and active participation on topics such as nutrition, mobility and textiles.

The fair is being organized for the third time and offers numerous stands with creative do-it-yourself ideas, workshops and lectures. Particular attention is paid to environmental and sustainability issues. Children's offers and childcare are also available to facilitate families.

at the 2. Hammer sustainability and conducting fair , which on 17. February 2024 took place, around 30 exhibitors were represented in the Gerd-Bucerius Hall and in the seminar rooms of the VHS Hamm. Admission was free of charge. The focus was on topics such as sustainable nutrition, upcycling and climate protection.

The visitors were able to look forward to interactive actions, such as a quiz and a wheel of fortune, and had the opportunity to enjoy fair coffee and cake. There was also an extensive program with workshops and lectures, including topics such as municipal heat planning and climate action.

A review of the first sustainability fair in 2023 showed high number of visitors and positive feedback. The events aim to promote sustainability in everyday life and to convey to the participating families and individuals.
