Interestingly, every three tournament days in December, between Christmas and New Year's Eve, took place, which is a premiere in the 36-year history of the Erka Cup.

In retrospect for previous expenses, it was found that legendary moments in the 1990s, especially in the old triple hall of the Cornelius Burgh-Gymnasium, evoked many memories. Borussia Freialdenhoven played a central role in the final for years, and the historical encounter between SC 09 and Borussia Freialdenhoven in 1991 is remembered.
