global context of the red cross movement

The Red Cross has been committed to humanitarian aid since it was founded, regardless of origin, religion and skin color. With a total of 17 million active volunteers, the organizations reach 97.1 million people annually through development programs and provide 85 million people acute immediate help in emergencies, such as natural disasters. The foundation of the red cross and red moon movement is based on Dunant's vision of humanity and help in emergencies. This movement is organized by three essential components: the International Federation, the International Committee from the Red Cross (IKRK) and the national societies.

In recent years, the Red Cross movement has reacted to the global challenges, including armed conflicts, authoritarian movements and the climate crisis. These contexts make the commitment and support of humanitarian organizations all the more important. Hope and cohesion are essential in difficult times to promote the resistance of the community.

The connection between humanitarian organizations and the private sector plays an important role in strengthening commitment and motivation. Hope is less a learning ability than a valuable property that can be maintained. It requires clarity about her own wishes and belief in positive changes in society.
