a special atmosphere in the St. Marienkirche
The neo -Gothic indoor church of St. Marien, which will be partially illuminated during the concert, offers the ideal setting for such an event. The ticket price is 15 euros and can be purchased at various ticket agencies, including the Ticketshop Stadtmarketing at Kirchhofstrasse 5, the literary house at Bebelstraße 18 and the parish office of St. Dionysius in Glockenstrasse 7.
The LPO NRW is not only involved in benefit concerts, but also supports the public relations work of the NRW police. Every year the orchestra takes part in around 160 events that range from young police advertising to readings and workshops. The variety of its musical ensembles is reflected in a wide range of styles, including classic, modern, jazz and hip-hop. This diversity promotes the formation of trust between the police and the population through the use of music.
successful benefit concerts in the past
The concert in Hamm was carried out under the direction of conductor Scott Lawton, with singer Oliver Schmitt also performing with numerous impressive performances such as "Circle of Life" by Elton John and his own compositions. Both concerts show how the State Police Orchestra NRW makes an important social contribution through its musical diversity and commitment.
With the upcoming benefit concert in the St. Marienkirche, another contribution to the musical and social community is emerging.
