Herner Rotaract Club collects donations for the needy and animals!
In March 2025, the members of the Rotaract Club Herne and Wanne-Eickel again demonstrated a remarkable social commitment. On Saturday, March 15th, they carried out the now twelfth campaign "Buy one more". The aim was to collect food donations for the Herner Tafel, which provides people in need in the city with food. The campaign took place in front of the Edeka Ziob and was extremely successful. At 2 p.m. eight shopping carts were already filled with food, which were then handed over to the board.
Vice President Tim Wember was pleased to comment on the great interest of the people in the campaign. Many buyers supported the initiative by buying an additional product. The focus here was on the awareness of the public for the needs of the needy. The Rotaract Club is also looking for new members between the ages of 18 and 30 to continue valuable work in the future. The regular meetings take place every first and third Thursday of the month at 7:45 p.m. in the 'o - place of cultures'.
support for animals in emergency
Spent donations were dry food, canned food, cat litter and toys. A total of almost four shopping carts with food and articles could be handed over to the Herner animal shelter. Customers' reactions were consistently positive, and the campaign was very interested in people of all ages and backgrounds. The members of the Rotaract Club were grateful for the support and commitment of the Fressnapf team in Herne Tub.
commitment and community
Rotaract clubs are a worldwide movement that is composed of members aged 18 and older. Their goal is to develop both leadership and professional skills through the exchange of ideas with the community of leaders. The committed members actively emerge in various areas and enable others to change their communities in urban and rural areas. In close cooperation with Rotary Club sponsors you will receive instructions and support in planning activities and service projects. Rotary promotes fun through non-profit activities and shows how important such engagements are.
