Night of the stars in Herne: an unforgettable experience for everyone!

On March 28, 2025, the LWL Museum for Archeology and Culture in Herne organizes the "Night of the Stars". This special series of events begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at midnight. Entry is free, which makes the event accessible to everyone interested. The event location is the house on Europaplatz, known for its versatile programs.

The "Night of the Stars" offers an exciting supporting program that includes both musical and interactive elements. Special highlights include appearances by Duos Disko Amore and the MZR Band. A spectacular Mirror Suit Led Show is performed by a talented artist. In addition, fencing demonstrations with light swords and numerous hands -on offers are planned to captivate both young and old visitors. The aim of this event is to celebrate the stars of archeology and to promote interest in this area.

March promises particularly varied events for the museum in Herne. On March 2, a “excavation camp special” for children from 8 years took place, and on the same day a family Sunday was offered with a participation excavation and public tours. On March 9, on the occasion of the international day of the woman, the museum offers a special tour entitled "The History is female".

On March 15th there is a creative workshop for glass bead production for beginners, the registration requires and costs 45 euros. In addition, a musical leadership with the Spielmann Michel will take place on March 23rd.

Another highlight is a lecture by Dr. Karina Iwe on the early history of sustainability. This lecture will take place on March 20 at 7 p.m. and will also be broadcast live on YouTube. Entry to this lecture is also free of charge.

In addition, a hiking exhibition entitled "A good part of the peculiarity" runs until April 27, which illuminates the life paths of formerly archaeologists. Public tours in the museum are free of charge, but a ticket is required to enter the museum. Children and adolescents up to 17 years benefit from free admission.
