Sparda light fire: 250,000 euros for sports clubs in Herne!

Spardal lamp fire goes into a new round. In 2025, the funding project also supports non -profit sports clubs from Herne and the surrounding area. The application period has started and ends on June 17, 2025. This time the competition will be presented in a new structure, since the online competition already takes place in its twelfth edition. Last year, 526 participants were recorded.

In the period from June 3 to July 1, 2025, the public voting will take place. The 150 sports clubs, which receive the most votes, can take a total of 250,000 euros, with each club being able to win up to 6,000 euros. Participation is possible for all sports, be it football, rehab sports or vaulting, and the clubs can use digital materials to draw attention to themselves.

Details on the competition and special prices

This year there is a special incentive: The clubs can win a special price for participation in Instagram - ten times 1,000 euros for the nominated clubs. In addition, sports vouchers for active comments are raffled off. The prize money comes from the pure income of the Sparda-Bank West profit savings association, which has been committed to club sport for 10 years, such as HalloHerne.de

Last year, in September, the online promotion competition ended with over 223,913 visitors on the page. 114,595 votes were given. The competition impressed with a variety of applications that ranged from mass sports to wheelchair basketball. The five sports clubs from Viersen and the surrounding area, which received a total of 10,500 euros in funding, are particularly mentioned.
