New shine for the park on the jump: citizens shape the future!

Tim Gretenkort presented the final planning for the redesign of the park at the Spring in Ense. The local action group (LAG) unanimously voted for the project on December 16, 2024. A funding application for the execution of the project is to be submitted in Arnsberg in 2025, whereby the leader funding for planning and implementation is requested.

Numerous ideas were collected as part of a citizen participation, but not all can be implemented. Some suggestions, such as the expansion of the pump track and additional sports equipment, are to be pursued in other projects. The central building blocks of the redesign include the expansion of the path connection, a play area for toddlers and cross-generational devices, a sundeck, plantings and climbing and spray walls.

The route connection in the park is intended to connect to the Rauschenberg construction area, whereby circular paths are also planned. The paths are created as water -bound ceiling and in a paved version. Covered seating and lying benches on the pond are also planned. It is planned not to take any existing trees; Instead, new plantings for the ecological upgrade of the park are to be made. Wildflower meadows are created and spray and climbing walls are intended near the pump track, with a possible design by students. Other elements that are included in the concept are a basketball basket, a floor -to -ceiling power connection, a natural stone grandstand and benches.

The municipal administration also works with Finger Bauplan GmbH on a redesign concept for the park. A first draft of this concept was presented in the political committees in June, with the aim that the upgrading of the park will benefit the citizens of Ense. Citizen participation is planned for Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting point is the larger paving surface in the area of the bird rod in the park. In bad weather, the event will be moved to the large meeting room in the Enser town hall (Am Spring 4).

The current design concept is presented during this event. The citizens have the opportunity to comment on site, to develop ideas and suggestions and to ask questions to the community and the planning office. Suggestions or ideas can also be submitted via the online portal of the municipality of Ense, which is available up to a week after the citizen participation, i.e. by September 18, 2024.
