Rudolf "Rudi" Kemmerling retired after 50 years of work, including 20 years as district chimney sweepers. His successor, Daniel Dickmann, completed his training as a chimney sweep near Kemmerling from 2007 to 2010. Dickmann, who has been chimney sweeping master since June 22, 2012, was appointed independently authorized representative on May 1, 2019.
From January 1, 2025, Daniel Dickmann will work in the HSK 25 sweeping district, which includes parts of Brilon. He explains the difference between a authorized representative and a chimney sweep: authorized representatives carry out sovereign tasks, while chimney sweeps take on craftsmanship.
