Record -suspect: 2315 shoe boxes for needy children in Deifeld!

A total of 2315 shoe boxes were collected as part of the "Christmas in the shoebox" campaign in Deifeld, a district of Medebach. This corresponds to a new record and means an increase of 516 boxes compared to the previous year. The collected boxes will be sent to Romania this year.

Timo Jansen, regional manager of the campaign, praised the excellent teamwork of the Deifelder team, which is led by Jessica Lefarth. This emphasized the immense importance of gifts for needy children. The helper Heike Grebe reported on the intensive work in the Deifeler Schützenhalle, where the boxes were checked and packed.

The team from Deifeld also received support from the "Donation instead of sending" campaign in Medebach this year. Mayor Thomas Grosche presented $ {400} Euro to Nicole Hellwig and Julia Welticke-Schmidt for the team. Grosche found out about the campaign and praised the voluntary commitment of the helpers.

In addition, the Deafelder team received over 400 euros from donations that were collected instead of Christmas cards. This sum was presented on behalf of Mayor Grosche to Julia Welticke-Schmidt and Nicole Hellwig. The team is also available for donations throughout the year to purchase writing utensils or toys when there are corresponding offers.
