Shock accident on the A46: Three cars crash into each other!

On Friday afternoon, 2:20 p.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on the A46, shortly after the velmede driveway towards Olsberg. Three vehicles were involved in the incident: a Mercedes CLA, a VW Polo and a Skoda Fabia. A 23-year-old man from Meschede headed the Mercedes, who became the cause of the accident.

According to initial investigations, the Mercedes drove to the VW Polo, which grew both vehicles and touched the Skoda Fabia. Fortunately, the 28-year-old driver of the VW Polo, her 6-year-old daughter and the 74-year-old driver of the Skoda Fabia and three occupants of the Mercedes remained unharmed.

The 74-year-old passenger of the Skoda Fabia, who was injured, was affected by the accident. In addition, the driver and passenger of the Mercedes had to be taken to a hospital for control. The A46 was completely closed until 3:25 p.m. due to the rescue work, but the traffic could be diverted from the accident site.

The fire brigade, consisting of seven members of the Bigge-Olsberg fire truck with two vehicles, was also on site and took care of the elimination of debris and broken glass on the left lane. Towing companies ensured that all three vehicles were charged. The road was finally released by the police at 4:35 p.m.

In addition, another traffic accident on the B7 in Olsberg-Antfeld, in which two people were injured, occurred on December 24th. The exact circumstances of this incident are currently not known, such as Sauerlandkurier reported.

Another incident was reported to the A46 on the motorway feeder, where an 18-year-old Warsteiner was involved in an accident with an Audi A4. The driver left the road shortly behind the motorway feeder, drove through a ditch, tore off the bracket of a traffic sign and remained on the side. The driver was able to leave the vehicle independently and unharmed. Here, eight emergency services were on site, which, among other things, ensured fire protection and briefly blocked the road before the traffic was redirected, such as PoliceTicker reported.
