AWO Höxter honors employees: 160 years of loyalty and commitment!

In Bad Driburg, eleven employees of the AWO district association Höxter were honored for a total of 160 years of service. The ceremonial award took place in a small scale in the meeting room of the office, led by the board team, consisting of Sabine Heikenfeld and Aljona Gottfried.

were particularly highlighted by Monika Rade and Heidi Thüer, who can look back on the AWO district association for 25 years. Marion Nawrath also celebrated her 20th anniversary. Anja Brockmann, Ulrike Ferber, Jessika Gottfried, Bernadette Niemeier, Mareike Stöver and Stephanie Wiechers have been working in the association for ten years, while Brigitte Ehmann and Sabine Redeker have been working there for fifteen years. The jubilees work in different areas, including outpatient care, administration, OGS care, youth welfare, school support and advice.

The board primarily praised the reliability, loyalty and solidarity that the employees have shown in their many years of activity. They expressed their thanks to the jubilees for their long -standing devotion to the association. In addition, the AWO offers support for young and expectant parents as part of the “Starts chances” program. Among other things, this program includes parent meetings, which serve as open offers for the exchange and information about being parent. AWO specialists are available and also offer home visits. For parents with children from 0 to 3 years, the parent meetings take place on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. in the AWO family base "Dieter-Heistermann-Center" in Höxter. Registration is possible on Thursdays and additional advice is also offered.
