The initiative for promoting village development in the Oberberg district receives new impulses. The village communities and registered village associations can now apply for financial support for their projects. This decision was unanimously decided by the district council in 2025, where a sum of 50,000 euros was set. The aim is to strengthen and support voluntary work in over 1,440 villages and settlement communities. Approved projects are funded with up to 80 percent of the total costs, with the eligible expenses between 500 euros and a maximum of 5,000 euros.
