Ratinger New Year Run 2025: News for runners and spectators!

The 45th Ratinger New Year run will take place on January 5, 2025. Since 2023, changes on the routes of the main runs over five and ten kilometers have been made. The new routes will now be more concentrated through the city center around the marketplace, which should create a more appealing atmosphere inside and spectators:

Klaus Gaspers will take over the moderation of Burkhard Swara's event. The regional service provider cologne-timing from Cologne was hired to process the registration and payment process, which the organization should simplify. ASC President Ludger ABS emphasizes the advantages of this cooperation.

Details for registration and about the competitions

The online registration remains possible on the ASC Ratingen homepage and will be open until shortly before the start. On-site registrations can be made on January 4th and 5th in the Friedrich Ebert-Realschule. The payment method "PayPal" for the registration fees will be new.

The event includes routes for Bambini, students: inside and adults with distances of 500 m, 1.1 km, 2.1 km, 5 km and 10 km. In addition, the Ratinger Sparkassen Laufen-Cup 2025 is expanded to include a rating for 5 km runs and a Junior Lauf-Cup, which is intended for children and adolescents from age groups U12, U14 and U16. The best places will be honored in autumn at the craftsman market in Lintorf. A separate registration for the Junior Lauf-Cup is not required, but the registrations must have the same name.

The Ratinger New Year Run will also be part of the running series of the "Neanderland Cup" from 2025. Despite the innovations, the overall concept of the New Year's run for the 45th edition remains unchanged. Over 1,600 participants: inside from all age groups are expected, and the award ceremonies and a raffle based on the start numbers round off the event.
