Spring awakening in the botanical garden Krefeld: art and floral splendor!

On April 23, 2025, the botanical garden in Krefeld will be fully blossoming. Everywhere daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, Bellis and horn violets sprout. The ornamental cherries and ornamental apple trees shape the picture, while the last magnolia flowers fade. In the wood area, snowballs, rhododendrons, wild garlic, lark spur, bush winds and lung herb delight.

The colorful bloom is not the only attraction of the garden. The 27th open-air exhibition "Art of Eden" will take place on May 3 and 4. Around 45 artists present their works at this event. These include impressive sculptures, artistic glass winds, stylish metal objects, water columns made of ceramic and exquisite woodwork.

Visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity not only to admire the works of art, but also to talk directly to the artists. It is possible to acquire the works and maybe even get a personal work of art.

During the two event days, guests can also be spoiled with culinary delights. A varied offer is provided on the sun terrace. The opening times are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. Admission costs 10 euros, children up to and including 16 years of age have free access.

On May 11, 2025, a plant market will also take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Here private individuals can offer a selection of plants. However, interested parties have to register in advance.
