Creative trainees wanted: Competition against racism is now starting!

unions in Germany continue to actively campaign against right -wing extremism and racism. As part of the “Yellow Hand” competition, trainees have the opportunity to submit creative projects that stand for more tolerance and against discrimination. The competition, which has been organized by the association "Do not do my buddy! - for equal treatment against racism", is aimed at young people in various regions, including the district of Mettmann and the district of Munich.

In the district of Mettmann, trainees can submit their projects by January 15, 2025. We are looking for short films, social media campaigns, exhibitions or actions to strengthen democracy. Tino Brüning, district chairman of IG Bau, underlines the urgency to position itself against the dangers of right -wing extremism. For the winners of the competition, prize money of 1000 euros for first place, 700 euros for the second and 500 euros for third place are awarded. In addition, a special price of the DGB youth of North Rhine-Westphalia of 500 euros is awarded. The award ceremony is planned for March 2025 in Magdeburg, such as rp-online.de

At the same time, the industrial union building-Agrar-Umwelt (IG Bau) also calls for trainees in the district of Munich for participation in the "yellow hand". Here, too, the application deadline is in mid -January 2025. Submissions within the framework of this competition can include creative projects, including short films, social media campaigns and exhibitions on people with a migration background. Harald Wulf, the district chairman, emphasizes that all ideas that stood against racism and discrimination are important.
