Pedelec courses in the Mettmann district: Free safety training from April!
in the district of Mettmann, a new era for pedelec drivers begins in April 2025, because the Mettmann roundabout is organized by a number of free pedelec courses. These courses are aimed at everyone who wants to improve or get in again. The initiative is funded by the Federal Ministry of Transport and offers a valuable opportunity to better familiarize yourself with pedelecs and their technology.
The pedelec courses extend from April to October 2025 and are offered on selected Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. The exact dates are:

topics and content of the courses
The courses each last four hours and cover a variety of topics. This includes the technical features and differences between different drive systems. Practical exercises on the pedelecs are also on the program.
A special highlight will be the topic of "dead corner". Here, participants have the opportunity to take a seat behind the wheel of a truck in order to experience the driver's view and to better understand the importance of fields of visibility in road traffic. This is an important aspect of accident prevention and is intended to help perceive dangers and drive forward.

Participation in the courses is free, but there is a helmet obligation for all participants. Interested parties should bring their own pedelec or a loan device and familiarize themselves with it in advance.
