Festival of the games: Rock 'N Ball in Wildbergerhütte promises fun and action!

In the period from May 28th to June 1, 2025, the Dietmar-Weller sports facility in Wildbergerhütte-Odenspiel will be the setting for the event "Rock 'N Ball", organized by SSV Wildbergerhütte Odenspiel. These five days promise a varied program for young and old.

The opening will take place on Wednesday, May 28th, from 6 p.m., with an old man football evening and a twilight pint that is supposed to put the visitors in a party mood. The highlight of Father's Day, which will be celebrated on May 30th, begins at 11 a.m. with a "Papa's morning pint". After this sociable part, a skate tournament follows at 1 p.m. and a fat Father's Day party with DJ from 3 p.m., which will continue to heat the mood.

Various offers for visitors

On Friday, May 31, the band "Subwork" will provide musical entertainment from 6 p.m. Saturday, June 1st, starts at 12 p.m. with a leisure team tournament. Visitors can also look forward to a appearance of Kölsche Katti, whose enjoyable sounds will take a good mood and an exuberant atmosphere.

Sunday puts on the crown: from 10 a.m. there will be folk hiking and e-biking, followed by home games of the 1st and 2nd team, which are not only at the top of the agenda in terms of sport. The traditional end of the season will be properly rounded off. Another highlight is the opening of the new "Hütter Stübchen", where food and drinks are offered. A raffle is held for the small and large guests every day.

Recently, a football festival took place on the sports field of SSV Wildbergerhütte-Odenspiel, in which 134 pupils of the primary school took part. In cooperation with the sports club, the children experienced an exciting day when they acquired the DFB-Paule-Schnupper badge. At various football stations, such as the dribble artist, short pass and the penalty king, the children were able to demonstrate their football talent.

In addition, a class football tournament took place, in which each class provided two teams: amateurs and professionals. In advance, the children dealt with Sepp Herberger, the famous coach, whose quotes were many interested in art lessons. Some classes even watched the film "The Miracle of Bern", which further increased interest in the history of football.

The financing of the event was ensured by a donation from the local Rewe market, which ensured that the children were provided with drinks and fruit. The parents also contributed to the success of the festival by offering waffles during the breaks. Due to the success of this event, it is planned to repeat the football day at regular intervals.
