Revitalization of the Jägerhof: Cultural program Despite the conversion secured!
renovation work in the Jägerhof in Bergneustadt continues to progress. From May 1st, the pub operation in the traditional building will be discontinued for the time being to create space for comprehensive renovation measures. However, the Jägerhof cooperative, which was founded in 2022 and leads the cultural activities of the house, remains active and plans various events during the renovation phase to continue to achieve the citizens.
In recent years, numerous preparatory work has already been carried out in the Jägerhof. This includes clearing up and storing furniture worth preserving and the implementation of exposure and demolition work. Specialist reports were created and voting dates with the monument authorities took place. From mid-May, additional demolition work in the dining room is provided, in which cladding as well as ceiling and wall colors are removed. The electricity and water pipes in the restaurant are also eliminated.
revitalization of the meeting place
The goal of the renovation is the revitalization of the Jägerhof as a socio-cultural meeting place after the city of Bergneustadt took over the building ensemble at the end of 2022. This measure ensures the future of the Jägerhof as an important part of the community. An expansion of the usage concept and the cultural offers, which will include theater, concerts, dance and educational projects, are planned. The Jägerhof Genossenschaft eG takes care of the management and cultural operation.
Frank Ludwig, the volunteer chairman of the cooperative, thanked the volunteers and guests for their commitment. "Dance in the May" will take place on April 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Krawinkelsaal, with ticket prices of 15 euros (9 euros from 10 p.m.). Tickets are sold at the box office.
extensive renovation measures
The comprehensive renovation work not only includes the interiors, but also the outdoor areas of the Jägerhof. The large hall is largely preserved, but receives significant changes, including installations for an artist's wardrobe and a redesign of the counter area. A new entrance building is being built on the north side, and the pub is expanded by another dining room on the ground floor. The higher rooms are used for offices and housekeeping purposes.
The measure is also intended to preserve the historical existence of the building, while technical and energetic requirements are met. This includes the restoration of half -timbered elements and the installation of a geothermal system and underfloor heating. The work is coordinated in close cooperation with the monument authority in order to adequately take into account the history of the building.
The project is part of the "Regional 2025 Bergisches Rhineland" initiative and aims to expand and secure the cultural offer in Bergneustadt. The Jägerhof is currently in the renovation phase, while the cooperative is still planning events to bring the community together.
For further information on the renovation work and events, abdominal chronology can be viewed on the website of the city of Bergneustadt. In addition, the Jägerhof website offers current information on planned events that take place in other places during the construction phase.
