Art, music and shopping: Mega festival on Sunday open!

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, the Centro Oberhausen becomes the scene of a unique event. On the first weekend in May, there is a Sunday open for sales as part of the “Arts’n’Act Festival”. This follows on the Sunday open to the sale on April 27th. On this special day, the Centro opens its doors from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. to offer visitors a unique shopping experience.

The festival, which began on May 3, combines a wealth of artistic performances and activities for the whole family. From live music to acrobatics to magic and painting-the festival has something to offer for everyone. The three stages in the Centro are filled with appearances by artists from Oberhausen and the Ruhr area, which provide entertainment every half hour.

artistic diversity in focus

The professional acts include the Ruhr Symphony Orchestra as well as the Akrobat Tjorm Palmer and the choir Emscherspatzen. Young talents will not be neglected either: the duo Ambi & Toni and the singer Yola appear and enrich the program with her talents. A special highlight is likely to be the workshops that visit visitors into the world of creativity.

A workshop with the "Upcycling King" TEO will demonstrate how new things can be created from old materials. In addition, workshops for live painting and photography are planned. These offers enable young and old to become active yourself and try out your creative skills.

galleries and exhibitions

Another attraction is the pop-up gallery in the shop passage, which presents works by artists such as Melli Stobba, Özlem Mahli and Frank Kunath. This gallery offers a platform for local artists to present their creativity to a wide audience.

The "Arts’n’Act Festival" not only promises entertainment, but also an impressive networking of art and culture. In view of the multitude of activities that are offered this weekend, the Sunday open to sales in Centro Oberhausen should become an unforgettable experience for the entire family.
