New coach for SpVG Olpe: Bayram Celik takes over the rudder!
SpVG Olpe looks back on a mixed year in the national football league. Despite the difficulties in the meantime, the association was able to circulate the relegation ranks. As part of the sporting realignment, there will be a change of coach for the coming season: Michael Volmer will be replaced by Bayram Celik. Celik, who is currently training SC LWL 05, takes on the challenge and becomes the new head coach of Olper.
The board of SpVG Olpe is optimistic about developments apart from the field. Björn Schneider, a member of the board, reported positive progress and announced that the club was on the right track. After the departures of several members, the entire board is now filled with four members, including the newly elected Christian Burghaus and Christian Schürholz. The board works as an equal body without distribution of department.
Financial stability and youth promotion
Financially, SpVG Olpe achieved a significant surplus in 2024 and reduced the liabilities in a five -digit amount. The youth department, under the direction of Gunter Hanke, has received positive feedback. However, the association plans to found a second team in the future, but is currently not doing any reason because there are not enough players from the youth.
Michael Volmer, who was responsible for the relegation of the first team last season and as an interim coach, will leave the SpVG Olpe in the summer of 2025/26. Celik, 45 years old, has experience from his previous stations at RW Lüdenscheid, SV 04 Attendorn and RSV Meinerzhagen. The association and Björn Schneider, sporting director, thanked Volmer for his achievements.
