Sailing season at the Biggesee starts with exciting competition and great participation!

On Thursday, May 1, 2025, the new sailing season of the Biggesee Water Sports Association (WSVB) with the regatta "Blue Band from the Biggesee" was officially opened at the Biggesee. 25 teams and numerous one -handed sailors took part in the event, which extended over the entire length of the Biggesee to Attendorn. This sporting event is viewed by many as an important event in the region.

total of 37 ships from different classes started a ramp together. Among the participants were three young sailors who took part in a special shorter route with their optimists. Due to some weak and changeable winds, the race director had to adjust and shorten the route for all participants - a fact that is typical for the conditions on the Biggesee.

It was not only a competition for victory, but also an exciting event in which the participants fought for the best places up to the finish line. The winning team of each group was able to look forward to the "Blue Band vom Biggesee", an award that is of great value for many sailors.
